qeep uses the internet to send and receive messages from your phone, just like your PC does to send and receive emails. Most modern mobile phones are already configured to connect to the internet, but if yours is not, that‘s easy enough to fix.

To start, please click the appropriate logo of your cellphone manufacturer below. You will be directed to a website where you can find out how to connect your phone to the internet. The appropriate link on that website will be labelled “WAP,” “Mobile Web” or “Internet.” From there, you can receive a free SMS detailing the correct settings for your phone. Follow the information on the website to install those settings.

After you have installed the new settings, go back to the qeep download SMS. If the link still doesn’t work, please check that your new, correct settings are indeed set on your mobile. The correct internet settings will usually include your service provider’s name along with “GPRS,” “WAP,” or “Internet.” Any settings including the letters MMS will not work. Where the Settings menu can be found varies from phone to phone. Instructions for the more common menu formats are outlined below:

Most Nokia models:

Try one of the following:

Exit qeep. Go to the main menu and choose “Web” (the globe icon). Scroll down and select “Settings,” then select “Configuration Settings.” Check that the right setting is displayed under “Configuration.” If not, select this item and choose the correct settings as described above.

– or –

Exit qeep. Go to the main menu and choose “Services” (the globe icon). Press “Options,” then scroll down and select “Settings,” Check that the right setting is displayed under “Access point.” If not, select this item and choose the correct settings as described above.

Now try to open the SMS with the download link again. Qeep should now download to your phone. If qeep won’t start, please click here.

Most Sony Ericsson models:

Exit qeep. Go to the main menu of your phone and choose “Settings,” then “Connectivity.” Scroll down and select “Internet Settings,” then select “Internet Profiles” and check that your phone is on the correct settings. If not, select the right settings as described above. For some Sony Ericsson models, you will also need to adjust your Java settings. Please go back to the “Connectivity” tab, scroll down and select “Java Settings.” Adjust the settings to match those used for your internet settings (see above).

Now try to open the SMS with the download link again. Qeep should now download to your phone. If qeep won’t start, please click here.

Most Motorola models:

Exit qeep. Go to the main menu and choose “Web Access,” then scroll down and select “Web Sessions.” Check that your phone is on the correct settings - they should have a “tick” to the left of the name, meaning that they are set as default.

Now try to open the SMS with the download link again. Qeep should now download to your phone. If qeep won’t start, please click here.
